Apart from Loki and What If…?, other MCU programmes share Ms Marvel’s discourse about its future, which centres on the prospect of a second season.
Iman Vellani, the show’s lead actor, acknowledged that she hasn’t been informed whether a second season is planned but said she would like to see Kamala Khan “post-The Marvels after she’s clashed with her idol [Captain Marvel].”
Given that the character made a debut on the big screen in Captain Marvel 2, it’s probable that no formal Season 2 announcement has been made. Nevertheless, this didn’t stop the show’s directors, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, from hinting at their participation in a subsequent season.

It’s Likely That No Official Season 2 Announcement
It’s likely that no official Season 2 announcement has been made because the character made their big-screen debut in Captain Marvel 2. Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah, the show’s directors, continued to make hints about them appearing in a later season despite this.
Iman Vellani, who plays Kamala Khan, and Sana Amanat, who is the producer of Ms Marvel, discussed the title character’s future with Makers Women at the Makers Conference.
The young MCU newcomer Vellani mentioned that Kamala will next appear in The Marvels when Amanat inquired about what’s next for the character.
Vellani then turned her attention to the future, hinting that it will be “quite fun” to see Kamala after Captain Marvel 2 and revealing that she will return to Jersey City after being a “completely fledged superhero”:
What do we think will happen to Ms Marvel in the future, asks Sana Amanat?
Iman Vellani: “Well, [The Marvels] is a movie. I’m very excited about that.
Amanat: “I agree. The Avengers
Vellani: “I think seeing Kamala after Marvels will be a lot of fun. And, as I was about to say, she returns to her hometown after becoming a fully developed superhero and moving forward entirely on her own. Spoiler alert! I did.”
Amanat Advised Against It. Don’t.”
After engaging in combat with her preferred superhero and returning to Jersey, Vellani: I anticipate that will be a lot of fun
Amanat revealed that the six-episode run of the programme was planned to build up to Kamala’s presence in The Marvels, even if the second season of Ms Marvel hasn’t been officially announced. She also acknowledged that she doesn’t know what would happen in the Captain Marvel sequel:
If they call, I’ll let you know. [laughs] Before you inquire about Season 2, let’s see how the programme performs. The show’s premise is that, as far as I’m aware, I was aware when filming began that… The Marvels was where Kamala was going to finish up. They properly didn’t tell me what was going to happen in that movie since I’m a bit of a chatterbox, so I wasn’t aware of what was about to happen. But I was aware that was the goal we were aiming towards. By the end of our programme, she had to be prepared to go do whatever would happen in The Marvels. And as for what happens to her in the MCU after that, well, I’m getting on in years.
Why Ms Marvel Season 2 is a Must
Given that this is the character’s logical next step, Iman Vellani’s declaration that Kamala Khan will return to Jersey City following The Marvels is not unexpected.
If there is a Season 2, the narrative would centre on Kamala’s adjustment to her new role as a full-fledged hero and the obligations that came with it.
Even while this would unmistakably mirror Peter Parker’s trip in Spider-Man: Homecoming from Captain America: Civil War, the lessons she would pick up from both Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau would have a significant impact on how she approaches this new voyage.
