The Lose You to Love Me singer predicted that the new track would be “very enjoyable.” It’s going to be incredibly strong, encouraging, and straightforward, which is exactly how I feel.

The Calm Down hitmaker previously made an appearance on a recent edition of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, where she made a hint about the album.

Selena confessed, “I just become so used to creating sad female songs because I’m excellent at it, but I’m ready to have some fun. “And I believe people will find it appealing.”

Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, a documentary Gomez recently released on Apple TV+, was shot over the course of seven years.

Selena said on the show that she and Fallon “sort of went through all the different phases of my life from getting diagnosed and doing all the things that I had to go through.

“I won’t lie; I find it impossible to watch. To be fully honest, I was apprehensive about sharing it, but I knew that being completely open and honest was what I wanted to be known for. I don’t want to be an impossibility. I want others to understand that they’re not alone and that their situation is common.”

Alek Keshishian Compares Selena Gomez’s Struggles With Late Actress Brittany Murphy

Alek Keshishian, the filmmaker of Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me, recently revealed that he saw Selena and the late actress Brittany Murphy go through “similar problems.”

Alek said of the Love and Other Disasters actress, “She had a lot of demons, but she was a great light.”

The movie they were working on, according to Alek, was “disturbed because I had a troubled actress in the lead.”

He said, “I was protective of her.

“I considered stopping the movie, but it would have thrown 70 staff workers out of work,” the filmmaker said. So we continued. That, I believe, affected me.

For the uninitiated, Brittany passed away in December 2009 from pneumonia that went untreated.

Alek reflected on the singer’s documentary and said, “I thought that just like Brittany, the singer was going through troubles, so I stopped filming at one point.”

The 58-year-old filmmaker recalled, “I could sense the wheels were falling off.

“I watched this girl going through a lot of anguish,” he continued. Having cameras while she is in the thick of it felt predatory.
