Multiple Disney+ seasons were part of the original Marvel Studios concept for the MCU’s Ms. Marvel.
Many of the new characters who have appeared in Phase 4 are from the Young Avengers region of the Marvel universe. Only Ms. Marvel, played by Iman Vellani, who made her debut in her own Disney+ series earlier this year, went directly to top billing on her own production.
Kamala Kahn, who stood out in Phase 4, will soon make a comeback to join forces with Monica Rambeau and Captain Marvel in 2023’s The Marvels. As a result, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will have fulfilled one of his promises that characters from Disney+ will eventually make it to theatres by bringing Kamala Khan to the big screen.
Beyond that, the young hero’s destiny is still uncertain because Season 2 has yet to be confirmed despite numerous teasers.
For Ms. Marvel’s MCU Debut, Marvel Studios Had Big Plans
Kamala Khan was originally cast as Ms. Marvel by Marvel Studios with the intention of having the actress shoot Season 1, a movie, and Season 2 all in a relatively short amount of time, according to a report from Murphy’s Multiverse.
Naturally, Iman Vellani ultimately landed the part. She shot Ms. Marvel in late 2020 and early 2021 (as well as reshoots in January 2022) and The Marvels in the second half of 2021.
According to the article, Vellani “is likely to be pretty busy” because she is predicted to play “a rather key role” in the Multiverse Saga’s overall plot.
This may be a reference to reports that Ms. Marvel has abilities that connect her to the Multiverse and that these abilities would cause an incursion in The Marvels to set up Avengers 5.
Where Is Season 2 Of Ms. Marvel?
From November 2020 until May 2021, Ms. Marvel Season 1 was in production. Then, Vellani rapidly moved on to Captain Marvel 2, which she finished filming in May 2022. The Ms. Marvel actress is presently enjoying her first proper vacation since joining the MCU, leading fans to wonder when she will don the superhero costume again.
One insider claims that Ms. Marvel has already been renewed for Season 2, which might mean the writer’s room has already been assembled or will do so soon. In either scenario, there would still be plenty of time for Season 2 to appear in the Multiverse Saga’s later chapters, probably as a part of the Phase 6 schedule for 2025.
Marvel’s Comic Adventures
Planning to develop numerous seasons close together makes a lot of sense because the majority of Ms. Marvel’s comic adventures focus on her as a youthful hero. Iman Vellani will be able to play the most iconic Kamala Khan content while still convincingly portraying a high school hero thanks to this, which will benefit Marvel Studios.
Ms. Marvel has the opportunity to fully examine a young hero growing up through the years, much like franchises like Harry Potter and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy have done. Along with team-up ventures like Avengers, Young Avengers, and The Marvels, this will certainly be achieved over more upcoming seasons.
